The Caribbean, a region best known for its sparkling blue waters and pristine beaches, encircles hundreds of tropical islands that meander 2,600 miles from The Bahamas, through the Antilles, and along the northern coast of South America. When Christopher Columbus sailed to America in 1492 and came ashore on San Salvador, a small island located in the north-central area of the Bahamas, he proclaimed, "The beauty of these islands surpasses that of any other.”
Often called the world’s “Eighth Continent”, the meandering Caribbean is indeed a beautiful island paradise. Its clear turquoise blue waters, secluded beaches, lush rain forests, quaint back-country villages, hideaway resorts, and its friendly people combine together to make the Caribbean one of the world’s most favorite travel destinations. It doesn’t matter if you just want to relax on a beach, go on an underwater scuba adventure, or maybe try out your luck at one of the region’s gambling casinos, the Caribbean will satisfy all of your travel fantasies.
